My Therapeutic Style & Approach
We humans are quite resilient, and our brains and bodies are hard-wired to self-heal. However, through our environment, trauma, relationships, or other factors, this can be interrupted or made difficult. Therapy is a fantastic resource to aid us in our journey towards healing. I am humbled and honored to share this journey with you.
I have experience working with ages 13 and older managing a variety of symptoms, including depression, grief, and anxiety. I have thorough training and experience working on an individual and group basis with clients who have survived trauma or complex trauma, experience intense emotion dysregulation, and come from a chronically invalidating environment.
I have received comprehensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and am fully certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). These are my main modalities of therapy, though we will work together to develop a treatment plan that best suits your goals and needs in treatment.
I believe that hard work in therapy deserves balance with levity and lightheartedness, and most of all, your comfort and safety is of the utmost importance to me. I hope to work with you in achieving your goals and assisting you on your journey towards healing!
